Tired of the Weight Loss Ups and Downs

A good portion of my life as a Registered Dietitian, has been spent helping people transform their bodies and lose weight.

In fact, countless clients have come through my doors frustrated and upset about their lack of weight loss…

Most of these people have a few things in common:

They eat right…they exercise…but they can’t seem to shake the weight off their bodies.

And, from my research, I have found two distinct reasons for this:

Leptin and Cortisol.

Both of these powerful hormones were running rampant in their bodies—meaning they were excessively high and needed to come down.

Why? For starters, if you’ve ever been stressed (which most of us are all the time), then you know that the #1 thing you want to do is EAT—and eat comfy foods (or high-calorie foods).

And these foods skyrocket your insulin—or your “fat-storing” hormone.

Why is this bad? When your blood sugar is up, you are now on a fat-storing rollercoaster that results in all that blood sugar is stored as fat (or a good majority of it).

Not good when you want to lose weight. What about the excess Leptin?

So, you’re already storing all that sugar as fat—and with the high levels of Leptin (usually means you have Leptin Resistance), there is no way for your body to know that you need to burn fat in order to make room for the added sugar.

You keep storing and storing until your body is about to explode.

For years, people have believed that Cortisol is a nasty hormone that wreaks havoc in your body. So it’s kind of gotten a bad reputation as a hormone that triggers weight gain.
